About

i’m a human first and foremost—highly fallible, but sometimes I get things right. i’ve explored the world and lived a lot of different lives. along the way, i’ve come to value truth, tranquility, virtue, love, simplicity, movement, and adventure.

these days, i write, surf (longboarding mostly), run long distances, walk around without shoes on, and work remotely (i’m an exec in the ai space). i love to post up in beautiful places where i can do all these things… free… ahhhhh

i went to a fancy ivy league school and swam there. i’m into ultra distance athletics.

i also am a peace corps alum — lived in a bustling african village by the sea a couple hours north of maputo, mozambique.

i write about modern life through the lens of spirituality, discernment, and beauty… drawing from scripture, stoicism, buddhism, travel, and lived experience. these reflections are for seekers—people who follow their intuition and long for clarity, peace, and purpose.

my biggest influences are

  • derek sivers for clarity

  • hemingway for punch

  • dostoyevsky for depth and perfection

  • dfw for brilliance
  • wes anderson for rhythm – light, precise, absurd, and beautiful

  • timeless spiritual pieces — scripture of various sorts, buddhism, and stoic principles

  • and simple lived memory

if that resonates, i’d love to have you along for the ride
